A strong immune system has become so essential in these times, sure you can wear masks when in public and apply other measures of social distancing (click here to see the complete CDC recommendations), but being in public still exposes us to the possibility of getting sick. So how do we ensure that even if we do get sick, our body has all the fighting power to address an invader? We believe that everything begins in the gut, that is, you are what you eat.

  While it can be challenging to incorporate healthy foods every day and for every meal (let alone something your whole family will happily eat), but it doesn’t have to be that way. Our vision behind creating ODNOVA was to incorporate the important and essential vitamins and minerals all in one jar infused in honey so that it’d be easy to make a delicious dessert (bonus: recipe below to get started!) that would help the body thrive.

Buzz, buzz! Our bees are working hard to bring you delicious golden sweet nectar. But not all honey is created equal, that is why we only use medicinal-grade, high quality, raw, unfiltered, and unadulterated grade of honey. This super-honey is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant capacities, which may be useful for the prevention of chronic inflammatory processes. It is also high in flavonoids and other polyphenols which function as anti-oxidants.


PROPOLIS
Never heard of Propolis? Well, honey isn’t the only thing that bees make, Propolis is another. It’s a compound they create with tree sap to protect their hives and there are multiple studies that conclude its helpfulness in fighting cancer, cold sores and wounds. When digested it also has many healing properties including anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory.
ROYAL JELLY
Did you know every honey bee hive has a queen? Well, the queen bee only deserves the best, that is why she only eats royal jelly. Royal Jelly protects the queen bee with the strong anti-viral properties of the compound Royalisin which has a potent antibacterial effect on the organism. It is also known to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress as it effectively enhances your body’s natural immune response to foreign bacteria and viruses. That is why it is no wonder that the queen bee is not only larger in size than a worker bee, but its lifespan is 3 years as opposed to 30 days for a worker bee.
BEE POLLEN

REISHI MUSHROOMS
These tree-huggers have a calming effect on the body that can settle the nervous system and improve fluid balance. There is also scientific evidence that Reishi Mushrooms can contribute to a strong immune system. (1)
CHAGA
Chaga Mushrooms are rich in Cytokines, the chemical messenger of our immune system. Cytokines are the proteins stimulating white blood cells, which are the immune system’s first line of defense against a range of illnesses. It is known for fighting inflammation by regulating cytokine production.

 TURMERIC
Turmeric has many applications, but its most active compound is Curcumin and it just so happens that Curcumin is a strong antioxidant and has powerful anti-inflammatory effects on the body. So don’t be afraid to add some turmeric in your day-to-day cooking as well.

Gut-to-GLO chia seed bowl

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh raw pineapple
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon ODNOVA GLO (sub. Energy or Clarity possible)

Directions:

Mix chia seeds, almond milk and ODNOVA together, stir occasionally for 5 min to avoid chia seeds clumping together and to dissolve ODNOVA. Top with cubed pineapple and strawberries. Enjoy!
